Remember when Ron Paul was at the GOP convention and his delegates were kicked out? Remember when this guy was trying to speak, probably trying for the love of republic and this old ignorant hag shoved paper in his face? Remember when they gave Ron Paul 89 seconds in the debates when the other candidates got 20 minutes? Remember when they blacked him out, totally leaving his name out of polls, removing his face from the graphics as though he didn't even exist? Do you remember the documented GOP voter fraud in Maine, Nevada and Washington?  Do you remember every time you turned on the TV, radio or picked up a newspaper and Ron Paul was brought up, how he was a "racist, old, anti semitic, isolationist with a tin foiled hat"?

Maybe if you didn't follow the campaign closely you have forgotten these things.  I haven't forgotten.  We haven't forgotten.  These atrocities are still fresh in our minds, it seems like yesterday I was livid about Ron Paul getting less than 1.5 minutes when everyone else got 20 and I took out my anger by doubling down, by reading more, writing more, talking to people about Ron Paul more.  I still remember 2008 when Giuliani tried to make Ron Paul look stupid on the national stage just so he could look patriotic.  And when the ghoul Carl Cameron disrespected Dr. Paul asking "the next question is on electability, do you have any sir".  These things will never be forgotten, they are just fuel.

So We The People, the true patriots, the the remnant who wants to keep this once great republic just as the Founders intended, WE SHUT MITT ROMNEY AND THE ENTIRE GOP DOWN!

Israeli Snipers Killing U S Troops in Iraq Creating Chaos

Anderson Cooper of CNN showed this video of snipers killing U.S. troops in Iraq on his October 18, 2006 show. CNN says it obtained the video from a "representative" of an unnamed "insurgent leader." Bear in mind that Anderson Cooper used to work for the CIA.

Richard Wilson's hypothesis: Israeli soldiers and/or Mossad agents are killing our soldiers in Iraq in order to enrage American troops so that the slaughter continues.

Proof: At the very beginning of this video clip, you see a rifle with a video camera attached to it. This weapon is made by the Rafael company, an Israeli arms manufacturer, that also makes IEDs. If you watch the video all the way through, it explains how this rifle works. CNN stated that the camera used to film these shootings was not a mounted rifle camera. But as you watch the video, you see that with each shot fired, the camera recoils. That would only happen if it were mounted on the rifle. Why is this significant? Because this kind of rifle-camera is extremely sophisticated and not available to your average Iraqi insurgent. I mean, it's not exactly an easily obtainable Saturday night special! Something this sophisticated points to Mossad.

Mossad is a master at false flag operations, e.g., Oklahoma City, the attack on the USS Cole in Yemen, the bombing of the Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires, the July 7, 2005 London bombings, the 9-11 attacks in New York, the assassination of the Prime Minister in Beirut, the stoking of Muslim riots in France last year, the bombing of the Hassan al-Askari Mosque in Samarra, Iraq, etc.

Israelis freely move among US and UK troops in Iraq, and have access to top-level US intelligence. Until July 2003, the head of all US forces in Iraq and Afghanistan was General Tommy Franks, a Zionist Jew. (He is now on the board of directors for Bank of America.) On November 7, 2006 another Zionist Jew became a principle liaison between Mossad and US forces in Iraq: Major General Richard F. Natonski of the Marine Corps. His title is Deputy Commandant for Plans, Policies and Operations.

Because of this access, the "insurgents" (i.e., Mossad agents) know exactly where US vehicles will be and who will be inside them. This allows them to target for maximum false flag effect.

For example, on July 23, 2005, a detachment of 19 female US Marines was sent to Fallujah to check Iraqi women for bombs. An IED blew up their truck. Two of the young American women were killed, five were critically wounded, and four were captured. The bodies of the four captured women turned up later in a garbage dump with their throats cut. Americans were outraged. Islamic clerics insisted that only Israelis could be so cold-blooded. And who was in charge of US forces in Fallujah at the time? None other than Major General Natonski, the Mossad liaison.

Americans are supposed to believe that rag-tag "insurgents" use IEDs powerful enough to kill three US troops per day, on average. An American soldier even set up a blog on how "Intel" is betraying and targeting US troops. But sometimes Mossad bomb-makers accidentally blow themselves up in Iraq.

According to Richard Wilson, Israeli sniping and IEDs are false flag operations. He says that on March 28, 2005, Americans arrested 19 Mossad agents who fired twice on a US Marine checkpoint. The Marines beat up the Mossad agents and tore off their Star-of-David necklaces. (The US media incorrectly said the agents were Americans.) The Mossad agents said they were employees of Zapata Engineering, which helps the CIA conduct interrogations, and also manages US ammo dumps and US motor pools in Iraq.

IEDs in Iraq are powerful enough to flip over a 70-ton tank. Some of the models shoot depleted-uranium projectiles, and are triggered by electronic devices surreptitiously planted on US armored vehicles. Zapata Engineering (which employs Mossad agents) makes this exact kind of trigger, and oversees some of the US motor pools.

Rumsfeld says the IEDs come from Iran, but Richard says they come from Mossad, and are not "improvised" at all. The Israeli company, Rafael (see above), makes IEDS, which are buried in the middle of a road. Beside the road is a device which emits a laser or radio signal. This device is manufactured by firms like Zapata Engineering, which is controlled by Zionist Jews. The IED mine, manufactured by Israel, is inert until a US vehicle (secretly planted with a triggering device) rolls over it.


Whenever Mossad carries out these false-flag operations they produce a videotape or a recording from an "unnamed source" that is "close to al-Qaeda." Sometimes they say "the claim was posted on an Internet website, but its authenticity could not be verified."

But Israelis would never kill anyone in cold blood, would they? After all, the USS Liberty massacre was "an accident!"

In the Fiscal Times, Bruce Bartlett lists the reasons that Ronald Reagan would not win the presidential nomination in today's GOP. He then lists the sins Reagan committed after he entered the Oval Office:

• As a Hollywood actor, Reagan had been the head of a labor union, the Screen Actors Guild, and was proud of the higher pay and benefits he negotiated for his members. As president, he praised labor unions, saying, “Collective bargaining…has played a major role in America's economic miracle. Unions represent some of the freest institutions in this land. There are few finer examples of participatory democracy to be found anywhere.”

• Franklin D. Roosevelt was Reagan’s political hero and he voted for him for president 4 times. As president, he said, “F. D. R. was an American giant, a leader who shaped, inspired, and led our people through perilous times.”

• As governor of California, Reagan signed into law the largest state tax increase in history up to that time. It increased California taxes by a third, including an increase in the top income tax rate. There were other tax increases as well, which raised the top rate to 11 percent from 7 percent when he took office, a 57 percent increase.

• Also as governor, Reagan signed into law California’s first law permitting legal abortion – at the behest of his two most conservative advisers, Ed Meese and Lyn Nofziger. On other social issues as well, Gov. Reagan was far more progressive than his image. For example, he authorized conjugal visits for prisoners for the first time in the state and broadened environmental protection.

• In 1981, Reagan proposed a large tax cut. But when deficits became a problem, he supported tax increases and signed 11 of them into law. Among them was the Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act of 1982, the largest peacetime tax increase in American history.

• Reagan supported an increase in the capital gains tax to 28 percent from 20 percent as part of the Tax Reform Act of 1986.

• In 1986, Reagan supported an immigration reform that gave amnesty to 3 million illegal aliens. During the 1984 election, Reagan said, “I believe in the idea of amnesty for those who have put down roots and who have lived here even though sometime back they may have entered illegally.”

• At the Reykjavik Summit with Soviet Premier Mikhail Gorbachev in 1986, Reagan, to the horror of his advisers, offered to abolish nuclear weapons. To their relief, Gorbachev declined the offer.

Well it's been a long time since I have had an article with the good shabbas goy Glenn Beck in it.

So let me get this straight, in 08 Beck says RP supporters are "terrorists" sometime around 2010 he says RP is the wisest man ever, now in 2012 he says that RP supporters need to give it up and rally behind the pro abortion, pro war, pro tax, pro universal healthcare Romney. And you think Glenn Beck really has core convictions?

Today, Glenn Beck on his radio show called on Ron Paul supporters to stop supporting Ron Paul, he is not running. Prior to that statement, Beck also stated that he’s an Independent and not a Republican or a Democrat and discussed the polls numbers between Romney and Obama with his co-host, Pat Gray.

Beck's comments came toward the end of the show when Beck stated his views about the Ron Paul supporters and said, “Ron Paul people, I have had it up to here.”

“Romney called the Fed and begged them not to do this. Romney is not an “abolish” the Fed guy but at least he’s a “Let’s not burn the country down guy”,” Glenn said.

Glenn went on to say, “You guys are so delusional you’re going to lead to the Arab Spring. What is wrong with you people? Ron Paul is not running. He’s not running.”

“Please by all that is holy, don’t split that vote,” Pat said in reference to libertarians who want to vote for Gary Johnson.

“If you think he can win God bless you then vote for him. If you’re trying to make some point you’re out of your mind,” Glenn added.

On Obama if he is reelected, Beck stated, “Obama’s going to be worse than he was in the first four years. What do you think when he says I’m going to get a little more latitude when I’m elected the second time? What do you think he’s going to do?”

An Israeli Sayan’s Marching Orders: Libertarian National Finance Chairman Wayne Allyn Root is Tanking the Election

Ever since I found out Root was jewish and I began researching him in 2008 I was very suspicious. He comes off like a promoter (go figure) not someone who has deep seated values. His loyalty became very apparent this election cycle where Root gave no help to the Ron Paul campaign and in fact slandered them on RT.

I still miss my late father, over 3 years after his passing. You can catch up on his life history here, if you are not already acquainted with who he was, and still is.

He taught me a great deal from the inside about the worlds of traveling, government, politics, sports, and human nature. His wisdom and insight always amazed me, coming from a small German American town in the American Midwest at the height of the Great Depression from a family that had nothing when it came to money, property, or education. It would be college football, World War II, the Army Air Corps, and my father’s own initiative that would change his destiny. God directed it. My father followed it.

Last night I had a dream. The dream was striking, in that when I awakened at 0217 this morning, I realized that what I saw in this nocturnal vision in the night was absolutely factual in reality, in what it depicted from over 43 years ago.

I was back in my parents’ TV room adjacent to the living room on the first floor, in south Dayton, Ohio (Oakwood) on Far Hills Avenue (south Main). My father was stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and its then Air Force Logistics Command (AFLC). I was in the 8th grade again. It was early January of 1969.

Dad and I had the TV on. We were watching the NFL Today on CBS. The discussion was on the impending Super Bowl III matchup between the Don Shula coached Baltimore Colts (NFL), and the Weeb Eubank coached New York Jets (AFL) quarterbacked by counter cultural hero, Joe Namath.

The commentator was the late Bruce Roberts. He was mentioning that the betting point spread on the game was 18 points. Baltimore was an unheard of 18 point favorite to vanquish the Jets. It was obvious to me at the age of 13. Baltimore was a shoo-in.

Some other people came into the room. These were other Air Force officers who had come to my parents’ home for a New Year’s Party. They agreed with the betting line and the consensus of the NFL Today. The Colts could begin dusting off the shelf in the trophy cabinet, to make room for the World Championship Trophy already theirs.

My father said nothing. He inquired about everyone’s food and drinks. He had me accompany him to the kitchen to help my mother retrieve more goodies.

Late that night, when everyone else was gone and my mother already asleep, my father and I returned to the subject of the Super Bowl and the point spread.

He became very serious when I repeated the mantra of the NFL Today that the Colts were a shoo-in.

“Don’t be so sure on this. You remember the 8-1 spread favoring Liston over Clay (Mohammad Ali) in Miami Beach in February of ’64?”

“Yes.”

“You and I listened to that fight on my transitor radio in Alabama. You remember what happened.”

I began to get his drift. He continued.

“This really smells to me, Mark. I learned a long time ago, something you should never forget.”

“What’s that, Dad?”

“A point spread of this margin, in a game of this magnitude, spells fix. It really smells to me. Look out.”

Dad’s pigskin prediction credentials won out. The smelliest of the smelliest in what happened occurred in the first half. It is chronicled for posterity by Wikipedia. I still occasionally see Tom Matte, Earl Morrall, and Jimmy Orr in my night thoughts decades later:

But with 2 minutes left in the half, Morrall was intercepted again, at the Jets’ 2-yard line, deflating the Colts considerably. Years later, Colts lineman Bubba Smith said the game had been fixed. Talk swirled around then Colts owner, Carroll Rosenbloom, a known consorter with gamblers and rather loose with betting money of his own. Rosenbloom died a decade later in a “drowning accident,” the subject of a documentary by the late Jessica Savitch of NBC News which suggested Rosenbloom’s demise wasn’t an accident, but that the longtime NFL denizen and sports gambler had been pulled under the water by several men in scuba diving gear. The truth? We will never know.

But it really smells to me.

Fast forward to 2012. The subject is Presidential politics in an election year. I’m already on record with Press TV in stating the obvious: The winner of the election is the Israeli Lobby and the War Party.

Let us then proceed to the less obvious. What in hell is Libertarian Party National Campaign Chairman Wayne Allyn Root doing hurting his own 3rd party candidates by flacking for Mitt Romney on Rupert Murdoch’s Israeli-friendly News Corp owned Fox News, with puff pieces like, “A Gold Medal for Romney in Tampa?”

The Libertarian-oriented Reason magazine for “Free Minds and Free Markets” is also wondering what is going on with this quixotic loon. They’ve got it partially figured out, as evidenced by this paragraph in the Mike Riggs op-ed:

“Root’s bio identifies him as ‘a former Libertarian vice presidential nominee’ and ‘Chairman of the LibertarianNational Campaign Committee’ and the author of a book titled ‘The Conscience of a Libertarian.’ You know what that means? It means Wayne Allyn Root is an ambassador for libertarianism, and that his columns are a direct reflection on the Libertarian Party, which has several times elected him to prominent positions despite the fact that he is a glistening PR disaster.

“Then again, nowhere in his piece for The Blaze does Root mention a single Libertarian candidate for office. This is probably a good thing, but also odd, because it’s campaign season, and the job of the Libertarian National Campaign Committee is torun Libertarian Party candidates at the local, state, and congressional levels. Mitt Romney is not a candidate for local, state, or congressional office, and he is not a Libertarian (or even a libertarian).

“So why is Wayne Allyn Root giving Romney free campaign advice, when he should be talking to, and about, Libertarian Party candidates? Are the heads of Democratic and Republican organizations writing insane memos telling Gary Johnson how to beat Obama, the bad-grade-getter? Are they telling down-ticket Libertarian Party candidates how to deflect questions about their finances?

“NOPE.

“That Root writes about Romney as if Gary Johnson did not exist is awful. What’s worse is that articles like Root’s repel the kind of people Johnson needs in November.

“As for anyone who’s still upset about The Weekly Standard’s description of this year’s LP convention as a “goat rodeo”: Why don’t you direct your rage at the clown running the Libertarian National Campaign Committee?”

This really smells to me.

And then my dream about Dad this morning and Super Bowl III in 1969 enabled me to put it together. There is another Wayne Allyn Root gig on Fox News which is the Rosetta Stone in understanding how and why the Fix is In. Wayne Allyn Root is no Libertarian. He is a Zionist Jew, a Neo-Conservative, a War Party infiltrator of the only American 3rd party which can seriously divert from Romney’s vote totals in the critical states of Ohio, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, and Colorado, the make-or-break states for Mitt and Sheldon Adelson in this election. The evidence is here. Is Wayne Allyn Root the War Party’s ace-in-the-hole for their ultimate ace-in-the-hole in launching a war with Iran, good ol’ Mitt? What is being leveraged against Mr. Obama here? Are General Martin Dempsey’s remarks an indication that Netanyahu has now been forced to call in his chips with the Power Brokers who want war with Tehran? That Obama will be now be replaced at all costs? Time will tell.

Does all of this provide the real explanation as to why the Libertarian Party National Finance Chairman is flacking for the Project for the New American Century (PNAC) crowd? Flacking for a guy who disenfranchised Ron Paul delegates at last week’s Republican National Convention? What does Wayne Allyn Root believe about the Fed, fiat money, fractional reserve banking, the USA Patriot Acts, NSA Warrantless Wiretapping, the Department of Homeland Security, credit default swaps, mortgage banked securities, TARP, and derivatives? Does this “Libertarian” buy Romney’s recent statements about Russia? Does he support trillion dollar defense budgets? 10 billion a month in Afghanistan? 5 trillion dollar expenditures in Iraq and Afghanistan before counting costs in Libya? Syria? Preemptive war with Iran despite the NIE on Iran that debunks Israel’s propaganda through Fox News about an “imminent Iranian nuclear threat?” What about the Lavon Affair, Mr. Root? The Kennedy Assassination? The USS Liberty attack? The Pollard Spy Case, and the later AIPAC, Ben-Ami, and Novette spy cases? What about Dr. Robert Sungenis’s case for Culture Wars on Israel and 9-11, Mr. Root?

Fiat money, Perpetual War, Perpetual Intervention Abroad, a Foreign Lobby buying American elections and controlling American foreign policy, and a burgeoning domestic police state largely undertaken at the behest of the Zionist State of Israel. All apparently supported, of course, by the Libertarian Party’s National Campaign Finance Chairman as he works to get Mitt Romney elected.

It makes perfect sense to me. This guy isn’t a quixotic loon at all.

What if I have a slightly different version of last night’s dream about the Super Bowl tonight, only pertaining to the Presidential election of 2012?

Try this on for size in the wee hours of the night as a political postmortem in the netherworld:

His war was almost over. Or so Marina Buckley thought when her son, Lance Cpl. Gregory Buckley Jr., told her that he would be returning from southern Afghanistan to his Marine Corps base in Hawaii in late August, three months early.

Instead, Buckley became the 1,990th U.S. service member to die in the war when, on Aug. 10, he and two other Marines were shot inside their base in Helmand Province by a man who appears to have been a member of the Afghan forces they were training.

A week later, with the death of Army Specialist James Justice in a military hospital in Germany, the U.S. military reached 2,000 dead in the nearly 11-year-old conflict, based on an analysis by the New York Times of Defense Department records. The calculation includes deaths not only in Afghanistan but also in Pakistan and other nations where U.S. forces are directly involved in aiding the war.

Nearly nine years passed before U.S. forces reached their first 1,000 dead in the war. The second 1,000 came just 27 months later, a testament to the intensity of fighting prompted by President Obama's decision to send 33,000 additional troops to Afghanistan in 2010, a policy known as the surge.

A higher casualty rate

In more ways than his family might have imagined, Buckley, who had just turned 21 when he died, typified the troops in that second wave of 1,000. According to the Times analysis, three out of four were white, nine out of 10 were enlisted service members and one out of two died in either Kandahar Province or Helmand Province in Taliban-dominated southern Afghanistan. Their average age was 26.

The dead were also disproportionately Marines like Buckley. Though the Army overall has suffered more dead in the war, the Marine Corps, with fewer troops, has had a higher casualty rate: At the height of fighting in late 2010, two out of every 1,000 Marines in Afghanistan were dying, twice the rate of the Army.

Suffering the most casualties was the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment out of Camp Pendleton, Calif. Twenty-five of its Marines died and more than 180 were wounded, many with multiple amputations, during a seven-month deployment in Helmand that began in fall 2010.

The analysis also shows that Army casualties during the surge fell heaviest on two bases with frequently deployed units: Fort Campbell in Kentucky, home to the 101st Airborne Division, which recorded the most Army deaths in the surge, and Fort Drum in New York, home to the 10th Mountain Division.

The summer remained the peak season for fighting, with the single highest period for U.S. deaths being July, August and September 2010, when at least 143 troops died. And as has been the case since at least 2008, improvised explosive devices, known as IEDs, remained a leading cause of death and injury, along with small-arms fire, the analysis showed.

Insider attacks

But this year, a new threat emerged: attacks by Afghans dressed in the uniforms of Afghan security forces. In just the past two weeks, at least nine Americans have been killed in such insider attacks, and for the year to date, at least 39 non-Afghan troops, most of them American, have been killed by men dressed as members of the Afghan security forces, the most since the war began.

Those insider attacks have increased concerns about NATO's ability to turn security operations over to Afghan forces by 2014, the deadline set by Obama for withdrawing the remaining U.S. forces.

For families, the deaths have raised hard questions about whether the Pentagon is doing enough to protect its troops from their own allies.

Staff Sgt. Scott Dickinson was coming home early. He was originally scheduled to remain in Helmand until November 2012, but the Pentagon was pulling Marines out of Afghanistan quickly, looking to get the surge forces out of the country by fall and shrink the U.S. footprint to about 70,000 troops. He would be home in Hawaii within a week or two, he told his father early this month.

Not long after that conversation, his father, John Dickinson, saw an article about a soldier who had died just a week before he was to come home. "I thought, 'He's not safe until he sets foot in Hawaii,' " recalled Dickinson, an architect in San Diego.

He was right. Dickinson, 29, a supply specialist who had volunteered to help train Afghan forces, died with Buckley on Aug. 10. They were among six Marines killed that day in two separate attacks by men who appeared to be Afghan security force members.

Has it made a difference?

The Pentagon asserts that most of those attacks have been the result of personal grudges, disputing Taliban claims to have widely infiltrated the Afghan security forces. But the attacks have raised anew concerns about the integrity of the Afghan forces that NATO expects to secure the entire nation after NATO troops withdraw in 2014.

More fundamentally, the continued deaths, occurring even as U.S. forces are conducting fewer combat missions, have prompted service members and military families alike to wonder: Has the decade-long U.S. presence in Afghanistan made a difference?

Lt. Col. Jason Morris, the former commander of the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment at Camp Pendleton, who led his troops in 2010 into Helmand Province, Afghanistan's opium-producing heartland, has little doubt that it has. After months of fierce fighting, he saw clear changes when he left in early 2011. Those improvements remain, he asserts, with residents participating in elections and going to school with less fear of Taliban intimidation.

"Every single Marine in my battalion could see the impact they had," he said. "Things had changed so dramatically, it was a validation of everything they had sacrificed for."

Despite his son's death, Dickinson agrees. Marina Buckley is not so sure.

She recalled how her son watched "The Notebook" five times with her because he was a romantic. "He was the most lovable, caring human being," she said. "He wore his heart on his sleeve. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful."

He had wanted to join the Marine Corps ever since 9/11, despite her many attempts to dissuade him. He came to relish the brotherhood of the Marines and adored his first posting, in Hawaii. But deployment was a different matter. The loneliness, the heat and the Meals Ready to Eat wore on him, Buckley said. And he never felt secure living alongside Afghans, she said.

"If they want to kill themselves, let them," she said of the Afghan people. "But they are killing people who shouldn't be killed, who have lives here, and family here, and brothers and sisters here."

Military Suicide At Record High

The Army experienced a record 38 suicides in July, the highest monthly total since the service began releasing monthly figures in 2009.

According to an Army report, 26 active-duty soldiers and 12 Army National Guard or Army Reserve members were suspected of or confirmed to have died by suicide.

The soldiers included a 21-year-old air traffic controller who shot himself in his Fort Wainright, Alaska, barracks; a 26-year-old captain who died at an indoor firing range in Virginia, and a 29-year-old sergeant who had deployed four times to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Three soldiers died at their own hands on deployment, and 13 had deployed at least once. But nine had never seen combat, according to the Army.

All were men, and three-fourths were in paygrades E-3 through E-5.

The deaths bring the total number of suspected suicides by soldiers to 187 for the year: 116 on active duty and 71 nonmobilized Guard or Reserve members. The previous record for a single month was 33 in July 2011.

An Army spokeswoman cautioned that the July 2012 figures have not been confirmed and could drop as death investigations conclude. The service doesn’t rule a death a suicide until it is confirmed by the Armed Forces Medical Examiner.

The pace of one suicide every 27 hours this year frustrates Army leadership, which has vested heavily in prevention programs and mental health treatment.

“The indicators of high-risk behaviors such as drug use, suicide attempts and accidental overdoses continue to be a challenge. … We definitely still have a lot of work to do,” said Sgt. Maj. Donna Brock with the Army’s Medical Command at a joint Defense Department-Veterans Affairs conference on suicide prevention.

Since 2008, the Defense Department has invested $110 million into its Military Suicide Prevention Program, including $50 million from the Army for a large-scale study of mental health, resilience and suicide risk.

The Army also has launched numerous initiatives to prevent suicide, including force-wide resilience training to help soldiers handle stress and mandatory mental health screenings.

The Army statistics for 2012 exceed those for the first seven months of 2009 through 2011, when the service suffered an average 160 suicides per year during the same time period.

The Army’s suicide rate has risen from 19.1 per 100,000 in 2008 to roughly 24 per 100,000 in 2011.

The other services also are struggling with an increased pace of suicides this year. Air Force incidents, including both active duty and the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve, have exceeded the service’s 2011 numbers. This year, 63 airmen have committed suicide, five more than in all of 2011. In 2011, 30 active-duty airmen killed themselves; this year, the figure is 36.

In the first seven months of 2012, the Marine Corps had 32 suicides, the same total that the Corps had for all of 2011.

The Navy has had 39 suicides; in 2011, it experienced its worst year, with 52 deaths.

The Coast Guard, the smallest service with roughly 42,000 members, has had five suicides in 2012; last year, it experienced six.

(CBS News) LAKEWOOD, Colo. -- Vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan is scheduled to hold a private event on Tuesday evening in Las Vegas that reportedly includes GOP megadonor Sheldon Adelson. But the event isn't a fundraiser; an aide said Ryan will take part in a meeting with Mitt Romney's Nevada Finance Leadership team that was scheduled before Romney tapped him as his running mate.

The Romney campaign hasn't always had a smooth relationship with Adelson, the billionaire casino magnate who spent millions of dollars backing former House Speaker Newt Gingrich during the GOP primary campaign. He has turned his support to Romney during the general election, and hosted a fundraiser for Romney during his recent trip to Israel.

The event, which will be held at the Venetian Hotel, will be closed to the news media. Romney generally has permitted coverage of fundraising events held in public venues, but an aide said the rule didn't apply in Ryan's case because the event isn't a fundraiser.

JERUSALEM--Mitt Romney took a break from meeting Israeli officials here this afternoon to visit the Western Wall, one of Judaism's holiest places.

Arriving on Tisha B'Av, a Jewish day of mourning, Romney was quickly surrounded by dozens of worshipers, some of them Americans.

The candidate and his wife, Ann, parted ways upon arrival at the historic site, also known as the Wailing Wall. Ann Romney went to a part of the wall restricted to women.

Surrounded by Secret Service and machine gun-holding Israeli security on a sunny day, Romney made his way to the wall, greeting and thanking admirers who were shouting their approval for the Republican.

He was met at the wall by a rabbi bearing a map of the site and chatted with him for a minute before taking a slip of paper and making an inscription. Romney put his right hand on the wall and bowed and prayed for about 20 seconds. He then found a clear space in the wall, which is filled with slips of paper, and put it in the crevice.

Leaving the wall, Romney was given a copy of a book, "Touching the Stone of Our Heritage," by the rabbi.

The candidate ignored a variety of questions shouted at him by both the American and Israeli press as well as the worshipers.

When of the Americans yelled, "Mr. Romney, say hello to Georgia!" the candidate looked over his shoulder and waved: "Hello, Georgia."

Other Jews at the wall yelled out pleas for Romney to stand with Israel, release Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard from prison and recognize Jerusalem as the Jewish capital.

Also present with Romney at the wall were his son, Josh, and one of his top donors, Phil Rosen, a New York lawyer, who is here partly for a Romney fundraiser tomorrow morning.

Rand Paul just endorsed a man who is deeply hostile to human liberty.
Perhaps that’s Rand’s idea of playing politics? Come to the table, strike a deal, get what you can. Trouble is, it’s tough striking a good deal when the guy on the other side of the table believes that the government should be allowed to claim — without having to produce any evidence whatsoever — that certain people are terrorists, and therefore should be detained indefinitely without any kind of due process.
That’s textbook tyranny.

Yes, I would have [signed the NDAA]. And I do believe that it is appropriate to have in our nation the capacity to detain people who are threats to this country, who are members of al Qaeda. Look, you have every right in this country to protest and to express your views on a wide range of issues but you don’t have a right to join a group that has killed Americans, and has declared war against America. That’s treason. In this country we have a right to take those people and put them in jail. If I were president I would not abuse this power. But people who join al Qaeda are not entitled to rights of due process under our normal legal code. They are entitled instead to be treated as enemy combatants.

Except, if the government had any evidence they were really members of al-Qaeda and engaged in a war against America they could be charged with offenses under current laws and tried in front of a jury of their peers. As was proven when Judge Katherine Forrest struck down the indefinite detention provision of the NDAA as unconstitutional, the real detention targets are people like the ones who brought the case — writers, investigative journalist and whistleblowers: people like Chris Hedges, Noam Chomsky, Daniel Ellsberg, Jennifer Bolen, and Birgitta Jonsdottir.
Rand Paul might have done some good work trying to filibuster the Patriot Act, but endorsing Mitt Romney goes beyond the pale. The NDAA is Romney’s most egregious transgression against liberty, but not far behind are his desire to start a war against Iran, to increase military spending, to start a trade war with China and his belief that corporations are people.
I know I will never agree with any politician on every single dimension of every single issue, and that to some extent politics will always involve compromise. Certainly, I disagree with Ron Paul on some issues. But Mitt Romney’s stances on these issues seem much, much, much closer to Barack Obama than they do to Ron Paul. In fact, he might as well have endorsed Obama for President.
And the Ron Paul supporters are noticing: Rand has probably burnt most bridges to his Father’s supporters now. His Facebook page has seen a huge outpouring of fury:

I have always been uncomfortable with the children of politicians becoming politicians. Every anointed child feels like a step away from meritocracy. Dynasties are dangerous, because the dynasty itself comes to be more important than the qualities of the politicians. Who would Rand Paul be if he wasn’t Ron Paul’s son? Just another neocon. Neocons often have a few “unfashionable” libertarian or constitutionalist sympathies; look at Charles Krauthammer. But — unlike Ron Paul — the neocon never has the spine to do much about their libertarian or constitutionalist sympathies. They just ride on the establishment steamroller, into foreign occupations, empire building, corporate welfare, and banking bailouts. Into Iraq, and soon into Iran.

Obama Ordered CStuxnet Cyber Attack On Iran

When Iran's nuclear facilities were publicly crippled in 2011 by what then was considered a revolutionary computer virus which destroys physical equipment, many immediately assumed the virus originated in Israel for obvious reasons. They were wrong. In what can be described as the first presidentially-mandated and condoned act of cyberwarfare, one circumventing the War Powers Act of course, the NYT informs us that the order to physically impair Iranian sovereignty came from none other than the Nobel Peace prize winning president: Barack Obama.

From his first months in office, President Obama secretly ordered increasingly sophisticated attacks on the computer systems that run Iran's main nuclear enrichment facilities, significantly expanding America's first sustained use of cyberweapons, according to participants in the program.



Mr. Obama decided to accelerate the attacks - begun in the Bush administration and code-named Olympic Games - even after an element of the program accidentally became public in the summer of 2010 because of a programming error that allowed it to escape Iran's Natanz plant and sent it around the world on the Internet. Computer security experts who began studying the worm, which had been developed by the United States and Israel, gave it a name: Stuxnet.



At a tense meeting in the White House Situation Room within days of the worm's "escape," Mr. Obama, Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. and the director of the Central Intelligence Agency at the time, Leon E. Panetta, considered whether America's most ambitious attempt to slow the progress of Iran's nuclear efforts had been fatally compromised.



"Should we shut this thing down?" Mr. Obama asked, according to members of the president's national security team who were in the room.



Told it was unclear how much the Iranians knew about the code, and offered evidence that it was still causing havoc, Mr. Obama decided that the cyberattacks should proceed. In the following weeks, the Natanz plant was hit by a newer version of the computer worm, and then another after that. The last of that series of attacks, a few weeks after Stuxnet was detected around the world, temporarily took out nearly 1,000 of the 5,000 centrifuges Iran had spinning at the time to purify uranium.



This account of the American and Israeli effort to undermine the Iranian nuclear program is based on interviews over the past 18 months with current and former American, European and Israeli officials involved in the program, as well as a range of outside experts. None would allow their names to be used because the effort remains highly classified, and parts of it continue to this day.

For those confused - yes: this is an act of war. A New Normal war.

It appears to be the first time the United States has repeatedly used cyberweapons to cripple another country's infrastructure, achieving, with computer code, what until then could be accomplished only by bombing a country or sending in agents to plant explosives. The code itself is 50 times as big as the typical computer worm, Carey Nachenberg, a vice president of Symantec, one of the many groups that have dissected the code, said at a symposium at Stanford University in April. Those forensic investigations into the inner workings of the code, while picking apart how it worked, came to no conclusions about who was responsible.

And still America continues to wage war, subverting the constitution, without any Congressional approval, and without even telling the population what is really happening. Because it is "for its own good."

A similar process is now under way to figure out the origins of another cyberweapon called Flame that was recently discovered to have attacked the computers of Iranian officials, sweeping up information from those machines. But the computer code appears to be at least five years old, and American officials say that it was not part of Olympic Games. They have declined to say whether the United States was responsible for the Flame attack.

The "New Normal Gulf of Tonkin":

Mr. Obama, according to participants in the many Situation Room meetings on Olympic Games, was acutely aware that with every attack he was pushing the United States into new territory, much as his predecessors had with the first use of atomic weapons in the 1940s, of intercontinental missiles in the 1950s and of drones in the past decade. He repeatedly expressed concerns that any American acknowledgment that it was using cyberweapons - even under the most careful and limited circumstances - could enable other countries, terrorists or hackers to justify their own attacks.



"We discussed the irony, more than once," one of his aides said. Another said that the administration was resistant to developing a "grand theory for a weapon whose possibilities they were still discovering." Yet Mr. Obama concluded that when it came to stopping Iran, the United States had no other choice.



If Olympic Games failed, he told aides, there would be no time for sanctions and diplomacy with Iran to work. Israel could carry out a conventional military attack, prompting a conflict that could spread throughout the region.

Some call it irony, others collateral damage where people lose everything, including their lives. Semantics.

Remember though: they hate America for its freedoms.

Mr. Obama has repeatedly told his aides that there are risks to using - and particularly to overusing - the weapon. In fact, no country's infrastructure is more dependent on computer systems, and thus more vulnerable to attack, than that of the United States. It is only a matter of time, most experts believe, before it becomes the target of the same kind of weapon that the Americans have used, secretly, against Iran.

And it will be a shock, SHOCK when the world retaliates against America.
