Pelosi to Aspiring Musicians: Quit Your Job, Taxpayers Will Cover Your Health Care

(CNSNews.com) - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said this week that thanks to the new health-care reform law, musicians and other creative types could quit their jobs and focus on developing their talents because taxpayers would fund their health care coverage.

“We see it as an entrepreneurial bill,” Pelosi said, “a bill that says to someone, if you want to be creative and be a musician or whatever, you can leave your work, focus on your talent, your skill, your passion, your aspirations because you will have health care.”

Pelosi made the remarks while speaking at the Capitol on Wednesday to the Asian American and Pacific Islanders Summit.

Ha ha ha... she's getting scared I think. What with the states giving this thing the one finger salute I guess she is figuring the musician/artist vote will kill anything the individual states do to counter this crap bill.

Also, she really does look like Incog's photo of her as that stretchy-face nightmare from the movie Brazil...lol.

What a beast!
My God, I heard this on the news the other night and was appalled that anyone would tell people to quit their jobs and suck off the government teat.

But then, when I was young, newly divorced, making minimum wage and not getting child support, I applied for food stamps to feed my 5 year old. I was told by the Social Services dept that they couldn't help me because I was working. But if I quit my job I could come back and they'd help me. What kind of crap is that?
