Black Civil Rights Leader Convicted of Incest

"LEESBURG, Va. (AP) — A jury in Virginia has convicted an iconic figure in the civil rights movement of incest for having sex with his teenage daughter 15 years ago.

The Rev. James L. Bevel was a top lieutenant to Martin Luther King Jr. He also is credited with helping conceive and organize the Million Man March.

Bevel faces up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced.

The four-day trial included bizarre testimony about Bevel's philosophies for eradicating lust, and parents' duty to "sexually orient" their children. "

Hillary and Barack Use The Same Playbook: The Communist Manifesto

Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Clinton are undoubtedly two of the most liberal politicians the United States has ever known. It drives me crazy to see the hundreds of articles online saying how crappy Hillary is and what a saint Barack is. The funny thing is Barack being the media darling that he is the build him up to be polar opposites to Clinton when in reality they are marching us down the same path. You think it is a joke that I claim they use the communist manifesto as a playbook?

1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
5. Centralization of credit in the banks of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.
6. Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the state.
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state; the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
8. Equal obligation of all to work. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of all the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the populace over the country.
10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production etc.

Those are the 10 main points of the Communist Manifesto. How many of those do you think Barack and Hillary disagree with? I can't find any but I challenge you to. These may be found at the bottom of page 20.

The Real Barack Obama: A warning to Liberals and Conservatives

It is strange the way the winds of politics sweep some off their feet, and others to great heights. Barack Obama is a powerful speaker, and certainly the media darling of this campaign.

He has the support of Hollywood insiders like David Geffen and George Clooney, and has won political support from such seemingly diverse corners of the ideological spectrum as the Edward Kennedy and Matthew Dowd, Bush’s chief campaign strategist in 2004.

Obama is selling himself as the “change” candidate, but what do we really know about him? Actor Ben Affleck said that he supported Obama, but wasn't quite sure where he stood on the issues. Shouldn’t we all know what kind of “change” a presidential candidate stands for before we let him lead the nation?

Obama is an attractive candidate and America is crying out for something different. Senator Obama certainly looks different. "Obama" certainly sounds different. He's not a "Clinton" or a "Bush", which is certainly a relief for some. But is he really different? If he is so different, why then do the powers of the status quo seem so pleased with a man that we really know so little about?

In this short column I've tried to peel back the veil on the Senator's rise to power. Frankly, I'm not very impressed.

Obama is being sold as an anti-war candidate. Calling for an immediate end to the War in Iraq may be popular, but peace activists may be sorely disappointed with the plans President Obama has for the American military.

He's not calling for an end to military adventurism; he is just calling for an end to this particular war at this particular time. In his own words he called for "a phased withdrawal of American forces with the goal of removing all combat brigades from Iraq by March 31st, 2008". While he has since pushed back his target date for withdrawal until 16 months after he enters office, he has not changed his plan and says he intends to "leave behind residual force."

He goes further to say "This administration’s first Secretary of Defense proudly acknowledged that he had inherited the greatest fighting force in the nation’s history. Six years later, he handed over a force that has been stretched to the breaking point, understaffed, and struggling to repair its equipment. Two-thirds of the Army is now rated “not ready” for combat. 88% of the National Guard is not ready to deploy overseas, and many units cannot respond to a domestic emergency. Our men and women in uniform are performing heroically around the world in some of the most difficult conditions imaginable. But the war in Afghanistan and the ill-advised invasion of Iraq have clearly demonstrated the consequences of underestimating the number of troops required to fight two wars and defend our homeland. That’s why I strongly support the expansion of our ground forces by adding 65,000 soldiers to the Army and 27,000 Marines."

Senator Obama is still leaving open the option of future use of preemptive force, saying "No President should ever hesitate to use force – unilaterally if necessary – to protect ourselves and our vital interests when we are attacked or imminently threatened. But when we use force in situations other than self-defense, we should make every effort to garner the clear support and participation of others."

Talk like that might send peace activists running to Ralph Nader or Dennis Kucinich, but lest this hawkish stance provide comfort to conservatives – look to Senator Obama’s latest contribution to the senate agenda, the "Global Poverty Act" (S.2433). This legislation would commit the U.S. to spending 0.7 percent of gross national product on foreign aid. This amounts to (about) 91 billion dollars a year, all to fund the United Nations’ “Millennium Development Goals”. Once in the hands of U.N. bureaucrats, the U.S. would have little control over how the money was spent, thereby bringing “taxation without representation” into the now.

These are just two issues that should give potential supporters of Barack Obama pause, whether they identify with the left or the right. For those on the left, Obama offers a tepid commitment to peace, and no clear commitment to restoring our eroded civil liberties or repealing The Patriot Act. For those on the right, Senator Obama has no plan to peel back the layers of regulation that is choking our health care system, no plan to secure our boarders, and no plan to stop the explosion of illegal aliens.

For all Americans, Senator Obama has no plan to stabilize the falling dollar, no plan to fully fund Social Security, no plan to achieve energy independence, and no plan to stop the destruction of the middle class at the hands of transnational globalist entities like the UN, NAFTA, The WTO, and the coming North American Union.

It's great that Senator Obama looks different from the other candidates, but it is more important that he be different; glossy oratories wrapped around more of the same just won't cut it.

It Is Time To Uphold Your Oath!

"I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

Millions have spoken these or similar words upon enlistment in the Armed Forces of the United States. Most were US citizens, but many were not. Many were volunteers, while others were draftees. Most were men, but many were women. Since the founding of the Continental Army in 1775, the United States military has drawn on people of every race, cultural heritage, religion, and sex to serve the nation in providing for the "common defence". I am one of these millions, and although it has been sixteen years since I first spoke the words of the oath of enlistment, they have stayed with me.

A number of things strike me about this oath that I took at the age of 21. Most significant to me is that the oath has no time limit placed on it; the Oath does not expire at the end of the term of enlistment. It goes on. My service in the military may have ended in 1993, but my promise is with me still.

The oath of enlistment makes three vows. The first is to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States from all enemies. The second is a vow of fealty to that Constitution. The third is an affirmation to abide by the rules and structure of the service the new recruit is about to enter.

The Constitution. We veterans have sworn an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Who are these enemies of the Constitution? Are there foreign enemies who would destroy our Constitution? Not from what I can see. The leaders of this country have told us that our foreign enemies -- terrorists -- hate our freedom, presumably the freedoms derived from the Constitution, and are attempting to destroy us because of the freedoms we enjoy (not because of any actions we have taken in their homelands). But our overseas enemies cannot take our freedoms from us for themselves, nor can their attacks profit at all by taking away our Constitution.

In particular, the idea of others hating our freedom does not ring true as our leaders' response to the attacks we have suffered is to beat the enemy to the punch, so to speak, when they themselves restrict the Constitutional freedoms that we have enjoyed for generations. Leaders of the current Administration have taken a nation that was once one huge land of Free Speech, and restricted it to "Free Speech Zones" whenever the President or his Cabinet members are nearby. They have prosecuted people for exercising their rights to Free Assembly and Free Association. These leaders have imprisoned people without charge, searched their personal lives without due process, denied them trial by jury, coerced them into self-incrimination, attempted to enforce their religious priorities on the citizenry of the United States, and attempted to halt the self-governance of the people of individual states, apparently violating the First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Ninth and Tenth Amendments to the Constitution.

Curiously, the oath of office for President of the United States has a clause in it similar to the first clause of the soldier's oath: "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States." So what is one to do when the President violates his oath? The third part of the oath of enlistment specifically mentions obedience to the President, the Commander in Chief. What a predicament this places on the honor-bound soldier -- his oath in conflict with itself!

As a veteran, I must take a closer look at this oath that I have held near my heart for so long. Of the three parts of the soldier's oath, obedience to the President is third, placing it in the lowest priority in my mind. Next, being only one of three parts of the oath, the greater weight is obviously given to the Constitution. Finally, unlike the other two parts of the oath, the section requiring obedience to the President is tucked inside a clause about adherence to military regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice, the only part of the oath specifically about the troop's conduct during the period of enlistment. This appears to be a deliberate tie into the military service of the new recruit, thus the one part of the oath that ends with the term of enlistment. From these, I see my marching orders written on the wall.

My first allegiance is to The Constitution of the United States; my first duty is to protect it from all enemies, foreign and domestic; and my vow of obedience to the President of the United States expired in 1993.

Therefore, I stand today opposed to my President, and the anti-American, un-Constitutional, unpatriotic Administration for which he serves as figurehead. I will do my part to voice my opposition, educate the populace, diligently support my political causes, and work with others to restore American freedoms to their former glory.

As a soldier, I made a promise. As a veteran, I will carry that promise with me to the end of my days.
